FAQ

How did GEARoller™ start?

It was during a summer tour when Jodi and her (then) partner Eleni Skiba found themselves rushing to catch a connection in a busy airport. "We were both running to catch our connection, but Eleni had this big acoustic guitar in a hard case that was super heavy," said Jodi Gaines, GEARoller™ co-inventor. "So I strapped my guitar on my back and ran to the gate to hold it for Eleni. We made the connection, but it got me thinking that there had to be a way to make traveling with my guitar easier."

Later that same year, Jodi reached out to long-time friend and mechanical engineer David Rea and GEARoller™ was born.

In 2021, they received a utility patent (US Patent No. 10,900,606) for a mobile, foldable, instrument stand. However, the music industry was still reeling from the COVID pandemic, so they decided to shelf the patent until we felt the market was ready.

That time is now.

GEARoller™ will be debuting at The NAMM show in January 2024.

When can I get my hands on GEARoller™?

GEARoller™ is not yet available for sale. At present, we're looking for licensing partners to help bring the product to market in the latter part of 2024.

Does GEARoller™ work with any sized guitar?

Yes! It was designed to fit both the curvy body of an acoustic guitar case and the rectangular shape of an electric guitar case. As a guitar stand, the spine is height adjustable to accommodate any height, while securely supporting your money maker using the convertable yoke and cradle.

How much will GEARoller™ cost?

Retail pricing has not yet been established since we're still working on finalizing manufacturing, however, our goal is to keep GEARoller™ as affordable as possible.
